Per facility contracts, Nomad requires all travel nurses to have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience within the last 3 years in the specialty in a comparable setting. Due to the nature of travel nursing, the fast-paced orientation, and the varying patient populations and environments, acute care hospital experience is needed for jobs in an acute care hospital.
If your past experience was in a sub-acute, long term acute, or other setting, you will not be submitted for acute care positions. If your past experience was in a long term care setting, please only apply to long term care jobs on Nomad. If you are unsure about the type of facility as you are applying, please reach out to your Nomad Navigator to clarify.

Your screening system fails to recognize a candidate's level of experience. Instead, I believe, it looks for key words/phrases to determine whether a candidate is a good fit for an assignment. This is a shame, as I'm certain you are excluding highly qualified nurses from these positions. Thank you for your time.
