UPDATE: As of November 2021, emergency/temporary licensure requirements have loosened for a number of our facility partners due to increased staff needs.
If you are interested in a job that you may not have a state license for but have a temporary or emergency license in that state, please upload your emergency/temporary license to your Profile/Credentials in the Licenses section. While some states are allowing nurses to practice with a temporary emergency license, there are requirements that may restrict your ability to apply for certain assignments:
Temporary licenses are only accepted if you will be licensed to practice in the state for the entire duration of your assignment. However, many of these emergency licenses are only permitted for 30 days and most of our assignments are for 8-13 weeks, so you would not be eligible to apply.
If the entire assignment length will occur prior to the expiration date of your emergency license, the decision to accept these emergency licenses is still facility-dependent and you may not be eligible for some jobs.
If your Temporary License meets the above criteria, please submit your application and a Nomad Navigator will be in touch with your eligibility status. To give you the best chance of receiving an offer, we recommend that you apply for the states where you have an active license in hand. With Nomad, you are still able to view all of the jobs we have in our database, and you may use the filters and update your job preferences to narrow down your search to find your next assignment!
