Nomad nurses are required to have the following years of experience:
- 1+ years of acute RN experience in a hospital setting in the last 3 years
- At least 1 year in the department/specialty that you’re applying for in the last 3 years
To ensure that travelers are clinically competent and able to contribute immediately upon the start of their contract, many facilities share these common requirements.
Typically, facilities do not offer travelers extensive training before they start as the expectation is that nurses can jump into a position right away. We encourage you to browse through our jobs and look at each job's specific requirements to find positions you are qualified for based on that facility's specific needs.
